Emily (she/her) is an intimacy director and teaching artist currently based out of Chicago, originally from Minnesota. 

​

As a passionate advocate for representation of diverse bodies and people in theatre and film, Emily is inspired by stories of intimate joy involving all types of bodies. Her skills in navigating intense storytelling moments makes space for clear communication and collaborative artistry. Emily enjoys providing support to actors looking to step out of their comfort zones to delve deeply into their characters and story. She has often worked with experienced actors, young actors, and with engineers/attorneys/"non-artists" who have decided to make a career change.

Emily holds a degree in theatre and art history from Knox College, and has trained with the O’Neill National Theatre Institute, Complicité, Intimacy Directors & Coordinators, and Theatrical Intimacy Education.​
